In 2006 the Sterling North Society and the Edgerton Community are celebrating the 100th birthday of local author Sterling North.

The Sterling North Society was established to preserve and promote the heritage of Edgerton as it relates to Sterling North through the reading of his books and development of reading programs at area schools & libraries, preservation and guided tours to local sites including his boyhood home, and awareness of the arts for children and adults.

The year long celebration honoring Sterling North kicks off on Feb. 12th with the 15th annual hometown talent show.  Other highlighted events for year include:
August 5th - Sulkies and Strawberry Pop - a family afternoon at Racetrack Park
Sept. 10th - Annual tour of homes
Sept 30th - Theater Hikes play Rascal
October 21st - Edgerton's Book Festival - featuring noted authors at four locations
November 4th - Sterling North's Birthday Bash

For additional information of the Sterling North Society and scheduled events please visit : www.sterlingnorth.com (note you will be leaving this site).
